Pioneer American Astronaut Gordon Cooper I lived in Florida during Mercury, Gemini and I watched Apollo 11 fly, moving to Chicago to see the Moon landing ? the single most defining moment in Human History. As the rockets cleared the tower, we all ran into the street, stopping traffic to watch the contrails of these Chariots of the Future lift you up to touch the Face of God. You took us up one more rung on the evolutionary latter, the latter headed for the stars. God Speed, Sir. - John F. Banas, West Chicago, Illinois, USA
